Carbon Credit Tracking Automation
Problem Overview
The customer currently relies on a manual process to manage their carbon credits. This includes tracking the carbon credits they have secured through green energy projects, along with the quantities purchased. Additionally, they manually monitor the usage of these credits, including the drawdown on the available balance and the issuance of credits to their end customers.
01. SystemBender’s Solution
A cloud-native solution was designed and built using a microservices and serverless architecture to ensure high scalability while optimizing cloud resource consumption. The solution is deployed on Microsoft Azure and includes a web application developed using React JS, .NET Core, and Web API. Key Azure services used in the architecture include Azure App Services for hosting the application, Azure Web Jobs for background processing, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for authentication, Azure SQL for data storage, and Azure Blob Storage for file management.
02. Winning Strategy
Customer Trust: Started with 2-4 weeks of Brain storming workshops to understand their challenges and desired objectives
Demo: Rapid 2 weeks development for 1 MVP to demostrate the capabilities and understanding of the problem statement
Technical Involvement: Pre-sales and delivery teams deeply engaged to create a compelling demo and address business challenges.
03. The Result
The implemented solution led to significant improvements in operational efficiency. Manual effort was reduced by 90%, greatly decreasing the time and resources required for managing carbon credits. Human error was reduced by 80%, resulting in more accurate and reliable data handling. Additionally, the Net Service Performance (NSP) improved by over 40%, reflecting better overall system performance and customer satisfaction..
